  1. I have a Mac Plus that still runs.

In order to avoid reinstall problems in the future get yourself a external hard drive and a copy of super duper. Make a clone of your drive, anything goes wrong, your system, apps and data are on the external drive and if you need to you can boot from the drive until you have time to clone back to the machines drive.

Also if you make your living from a computer you really should still have a desktop as a main computer. Notebooks are great but just due to how they are treated and how delicate the parts are they tend to be less reliable then a desktop.

That said other then hard drives I never had any problems with my ibook, G4 powerbook and my newest Macbook. I do have a clone of my drive that I can swap out in ten minutes if I ever have to.

  2. I actually don't write twitters but I do subscribe to many twitter(ers). Great way to keep up with news, software updates, new videos and what people are eating for lunch :D

Just ituned a new single from the Cure, didn't know they were still around sounds like old Cure. While I was at it I bought the new Counting Crows CD no Album, download album whateve it's called.

  3. I have a really old Slik u212 thats a little heavy but great if I don't travel far. I also have a cheap Slik about $30, it's flimsy but travels well, I broke the crank handle off but still does the job.

Get yourself a beanbag, I carry one everywhere, small and conforms to any surface and holds the camera steady enough even for moderately slow speed shooting.

  4. I'm a big fan of the Lumix line been using a FZ20 for a few years. Manual control is nice but sometimes tough to implement on a small camera. The longer zoom on the T5K also not much good on a pocket size camera hard to hold still. Especially with the slower shutter speeds you will need as longer focal lengths mean smaller aperture. But it may be worth the better video quality. Defiantly a great pocket camera.

I just bought a Casio EX-S10, had I done more homework I think the FX35K would be my carry everywhere camera. If you need a good camera and the ultra portable size looks like a winner.

Hmmm not much help, well good luck.

  5. I'm waiting for the next touch but I already have a 30 gig and a shuffle. I do like the idea of being able to browse the net on the touch.

I also love the nano's the size is perfect, just big enough to watch short videos but small enough to carry anywhere and not be cumbersome. If you don't need 80 gigs of music with you all the time do yourself a favor and play with the nano for a while. You won't believe how little my 30 gig gets used and I use my shuffle 3 or 4 hours a day 5 days a week.

  6. Crazy weather, snow yesterday and 70 degrees, humid and foggy today. Mother nature must be playing some kind of april fools joke.

The tops going down on the miata first sunny day even if it's freezing out.

    It's now officially pothole season.
