Hmmm, must be a weather program I installed. I have only visted 2 different sites in the last few weeks and One is E-bay and the other is a Car forum. Neither of those are putting those cookies on my system.

Any one else using AdAware know why I can quarantine an object and then it appears again after another scan? I have the settings set to quarantine automatically and it doesn't do it. It puts it in the quarantine section but when I run the program again another day the same items appear. Shouldn't it disallow the item to reappear? Or at least automatically put them in quarantine so I don't have to select them and then do it again and again?

I want to put the files on the HD in Text form and then burn them to cd as it gets to expensive to print and mail 100 plus files on just one individual. All other settings give me either an unformated page or an inaccurate page. I did add ms word to the scanner program, but it still does not scan as an accurate page. Some names and words have other characters instead. Have you tried looking for an update for the scanner? Go to it's web site and look for a download to update it. This is my son's computer. If you have an AIO(All in One) printer, can't you just copy the pages faster? In the settings for the Scanner part, there should be some other options for HTML/Plain text isn't there?

Just install it if you have the APG port in your system and then hook up your monitor to it. It should just disable the onboard graphics without going into the BIOS to disable it. At least most of them will nowadays. And of course you need the drivers for it.

Taking the slides and putting them all on a CD. All I need is something to convert them onto the PC. If they wanted a Slide show from there I would just use Photo Story 3 for that. I wouldn't think that scanning them would work.

A friend asked me if there was a way to do this. I am not aware of anything but I know it has been done. What does one need to do this and what program is needed?

Figured it out. I used Admin as user and then remembered my password. Wrote it down in my password book. Geezzz I have a lot of sites and things that require passwords. Good thing I write them down. Just got to remember that I have the book and where it is when I need a password. Wont be long and I wont have to worry about that. Thats the great thing about loosing your memory. No more worries and if you forget someones birthday, they will understand.

Thanks for the help. I figured out that the reset switch has to be pushed in for 15 seconds and now the router does work. One question though. I am trying to remember the access to the settings of the router. Linksys WRT54GS and I have the Default gateway, but I can't figure out the password. I thought I just typed in linksys and left the password blank. Any help with that?

I had a power outage yesterday and now my Linksys Wireless-G is dead. I tried the reset switch and power on and off with no results. So I have the 5 port hub that I am trying to get to work and only one PC works with it. I have the main PC hooked up and then another cable going downstairs to another PC but I get a limited or no Connection warning on the other PC. All these cables worked yesterday. Could it be possible the power outage killed a cable?

Guess you'll just have to tilt the monitor on it's side to view them! Good luck finding a plug-in.

Guess I read that wrong. I saw digital and thought of Pictures.

If your running Windows, Paint will rotate the pictures for you.

Sounds about right to me for using SATA drives. Try that with a IDE drive and there would be a bigger difference I would think.

Finally fixed it. Had to uninstall Firefox and then go in and delete the Mozilla folder and then reinstall. Still don't know what caused this in the first place.

No Zone Alarm here but thanks for the input. FireFox has worked for me for 6 months now and all of a sudden did this. There is a chance my grandson(5) who plays on this PC all the time might have done something. I already tried sfc /scannow and that didn't help.

Tried that and when I try to load Firefox it gives me a box that says Firefox is already running and if I would like to open a new window I need to close the other Firefox. I uninstalled it after deleting the Profiles folder and then rebooted. Then I installed 2.0.0.3 and tried to run it when I got that message. So what I did was undelete ,Restored the profile file and now it works again but I still have the missing graphics. I think I will just use IE.

Wont get desperate, I can always go back to IE6 or 7 if need be. I really don't use the tabs all that much anyway. Only thing I use daily is the 1-click Weather reports. And that can be had on IE6 or 7. I might just uninstall Firefox completely and then reinstall. If it works good if not, I will just get rid of it.

In the last 2 days my Firefox is missing graphics on some of the web pages. I thought it was due to me installing Quick time but after uninstalling it and rebooting I still have the problem. Yahoo looks ok but when I try my Yahoo mail it doesn't have all the options listed and I can't read any messages. IE 6 works just fine. I downloaded the new update to Java and also the newer version of Firefox 2.0.0.3 and still have the problem. I am guessing it is something to do with Windows instead but like I said IE 6 works fine. Any ideas here? I did check the Tools/Options content and made sure load

I too never have any problems with the updates and I use a HP system and RealTek. The only time I had any problems with updates is when I used a registry cleaner. Once I restored the PC to the previous date and removed the Cleaner I was good to go again. So not WMP nor IE7 was a cause for me.

No problem here with the last updates and I haven't heard of anyone having the problems. Have you tried uninstalling them?

I have seen that function but like most have never used it. That is an excellent idea and customers will feel better about paying.
