"Château Moo 2% v. 4/2007" That's great Bobby. I have to remember that one. Reminds me of a TV show from the 50's? . Officer Joe Bolton. He used to tell the viewing audience (kids) to "remember to have a big glass of Cow Juice".

Sauteed crimini mushrooms with garlic and herbs de provence and marsala wine. I used the outdoor grill to make Fennel Roasted Vegatables (carrots, red onion, fennel, garlic, zucchini all marinated in a dry fennel, coriander, and white peppercorn rub) For the entree I made two Rosemary and Thyme Roasted Cornish Game Hens and an au jus dressing from the pan drippings and a little sweet late harvest moscoto. Dessert was Lemon Sorbet with fresh rasberries And naturally I poured myself a lovely snifter of fine Grappa. My sweetie passed out about 1 AM so I was stuck cleaning up the mess. All done now

Yes, were are certainly lucky, Liz! Our town bought these generators years ago for this type of emergency. Our small town is geographically isolated in that the only road in to our town is a highway. Our nearest town is 145 KM away. With the landslide and the closure to our airport with the snow we were totally cut-off from the world for a day or two. Where in BC are you?

"Hey Joe, I always used to joke that in the Texas summer I could do barbeque on the dashboard of my truck, just put it in a container on the dash and park in the sun all day. " I imagine that a Texas dashboard would be more like a slow roast........great for pulled pork, for instance. Inside a Phoenix car would be better suited for a seered infrared broiler entree.......maybe blackened Mahi Mahi.

Sounds great. I smoked a duck a few weeks ago in my outdoor smoker. Out here in THE OVEN aka Phoenix access to the grill is year round. In fact from June through Sept. you really don't have to even start the grill.........just hang the chicken out on the patio for a few hours. Enjoy the feast.

Him and that guy that made the Lego PC really need to get a life. When you start looking for Yard sale items to convert into a PC you need help, serious help. LOL. Oh, I don't know. I can think of a lot worse ways of spending your time.

"How can the FDA tell people not to worry about buying pet food/snack stuff not listed on the recalls when each day or two more are added to the list??? I wonder if that guy has any pets, if so what is he feeding them now???" Because the FDA is about as competent as FEMA.

I am wondering when, or if, anyone will start checking into how much of the tainted wheat gluten got into our human food supply? I think this will be the next shoe to drop on our heads. Yeah wheat gluten is used in alot of products...not just for making loaves of bread, how about in the hamburger buns at your local fast food joint, and is used in all sorts of packaged food products, and if I remember right it is used in various vegetarian products though will have to do a search for more info on that one. I have seen nothing from the FDA or anyone in government commenting on if this product or
