freezing compt can be caused by many different things hardware conflict,spyware,virus, and corrupted software have you tried to uninstall those video drivers and reboot your sys some third party drivers are not compatable with windows so let windows find the drivers they may find ones that suit. you need plug and play enabled for windows to find them tho i think plug and play is there by default good luck marty

hi all some thing has me worried i recieved an email through thunderbird from a good source, from an address i normally trust. and when i scanned with adaware it picked up a win32 trojon now in outlook express i have my sys to isolate these sorts of emails is there an option in thunderbird to spot these sorts of malware or is it hit or miss i installed thunderbird to get rid of the spam but i dont seem to be winning which is best spam or trojon by the way how long has adaware had this trojon scanner thank god for it marty

no i agree with matt i remember once on techtv becky worley said the only dumb Q is the one that isnt asked. now as matt suggested sys restore may not be needed but for safety sake it would be wise to go in and disable restore because it can get infected in there. what i do i disable it. then i go to clean my disk and delete those restore points that way any virus up to your recent restore points are deleted i normally reboot but it isnt nessecery then as matt suggested scan with what ever scanners you use after you finish scanning turn on your restor program once you have cleaned the s

hi bear skin some times scanners wil inturprit appli as a threat for example my son gave me a wipe disk to clean a hdd but before i used it i tried it on my sys so i could read it and as soon as i opened it avg called it a baddie wel i backed tracked and found av scanners will call any threat to your sys a baddie when it wasent but you have a good sys when it warns you nothing wrong with that marty
