  1. :)

Opera has way more features than firefox.

    Back and Forward

    Left Click -> Righ click

    or

    Right click -> left click

    Scroll threw tabs

    Left click, scroll up/down

Make a tab a new window:

    Drag tab to task bar

    Wigits:

FF has extensions but nowhere near as cool

    Bittorent support

    FF.. doesent have this..

A better interface for showing you bad xml/rdf

Firefox, uh, its broken "HERE" on line 4098.. yeah as if its going to be easy to find that error

You CANT change the number of connections opera opens to a browser

Firefox: yeah, buddy open 100 connections and jam out the webserver, sure they can afford to buy really expensive hardware for you to do that!

Opera is smaller.. and includes a mail client while its at it

Ohh. heres one, opera releases memory when you minimize it, firefox doesnt!!

So, still hate Opera? If you hate me more GOOD! :P

  2. Its vbulletin, with the extra money paid to remove branding. We did re-do all the colours apart from the icons, will probably update them as we go along.

Heh, being a lurker and reading about others experience can help, thats what the site is mainly about.

  4. You can change the drive letters however, things can "break" so once set its best to leave well enough alone.

I know having the non standard letters all changed is a bit "awkward" but, the sooner you get used to different letters and different setups the better.

For instance on this computer, my main drive is D, while C is my storage drive, then theres a H another hdd, and my DVD/CDS/Mounts are E, F and G.

If you want label each disk to help you remember, right click -> rename.

  6. if you look at the local key i quoted, it does accuratly show the location of where the i386 files are.

if you set it to c:\, then all the files MUST be in there.

The reason its C:\i386, is would to make it generic so if its 64bit, it would be C:\i686 etc.

marty that will work remember the : is very important, i dont know your reasons for ommitting it in your post.

  7. JDoors, so, me working at less than minimum wage in a high skilled enviroment (research institute) should fork out $20 a month for somebody just because they signed up to BT?

Maybe the Riaa should give everybody a $1 who pirates music.

  8. drag and drop :P

    or from DOS

    cd d: (cd drive letter)

    copy i386 c:\ (copy folder to c)

c:\ (change back to c drive)

    cd i386 (change to folder)

setup (run windows install i *think* could be different),

if you windows is already installed

Modify the registry to point to the hard disk copy of the original files. Modify the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion and modify the value SourcePath to the appropriate drive and directory. For example, C:\i386.

  9. I was clinicly declared profoundly deaf. Thankfully the doctors made the biggest blunder since time became AD.

I know how hard it can be to grow up being partially deaf, i cant imagin how hard it is to be fully deaf. I also wish there was some camps like that here in ireland :/

  11. i was thinking, quake 3 was os'd into gpl, definatly not doom3's engine which hasnt even started to reap benifits of the engin yet. (oh okay theres a few, but compared to the hl1 engine, which is the benchmark it has a lot of ground to catch)

  12. sure why cant it be legit? of course somebody is probably preying on the fears of people by asking them to pay up $19 a year, and the question is what if you are sued?

Also, if everybody signed up, they could be facing themselves with a large lawsuit for encouraging copyright infringment. Also carefull it says riaa, so if you mess with the mpaa or any other firm... well dont go looking for money..
