    I have had Vonage VoIP for 2 months... I love it!!! Signed up on-line... $18 a month for 500 mins all over the US and Canada. Anytime... Clear as any land-line ever... even international. ($.03 a min. to the UK) No contracts...

    If you are looking at Vonage... PM me your email addy... we can both get a free month of services.

    It also has great other services... like free voice mail.. 3 party calling.. caller ID.. all included.

    I recommend it!

    Oh, and they have a way to reach 911 in most areas...

    Hey all, thanks for the best wishes and congrats.

    Due to the fact that the Mom and I being unconventional people, we aren't married and are more like friends (it is 2004 after-all...sorry if unwed parenthood makes ya squirm...hehe)...my ex-wife and I were friends/lovers for over 5 years, got married and 2 years later were neither...lol...So, neither of us is really looking for a ring but we both welcome this little bundle of joy (translation: demon spawn....lol)

    She already has one and kinda knows what to expect, me on the other hand, a total noob.

    It's still very early on so I'm looking forward to alot of things, like finding out the boy/girl thing...Hoping for a girl myself...of course, the Mom is hoping for a boy...lol

    Since I don't sleep much as it is, I don't think that'll bother me too much...we sleep enough when we're dead, right?

    I think I might be a little weird (well, I know I am...) but I'm already thinking of tracking the pregnancy from a technological standpoint, complete with a web page full of sonogram.jpgs and heartbeat.wavs...I'll definitely drag this thread out of retirement to update when cool things come up.

    I have a daughter and what a blessing...1st piece of advice is not to take any advice....only from the doctor...My mom had 5 of us rugrats and always told me that with each child...the rules change..The only thing that doesn't is loving and enjoying them!! Good luck and keep us posted!!

    I was looking at a new phone company that works through my cable modem. I have a few questions and wanted to ask you nice folks first. I know if I call the number for help, they will do anthing to talk me into it..So I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this...good or bad?? I know that they send me a box of some kind...Not sure how it will allow me to hook up my regular phone to my cable modem..And I asked Santa for a wireless router....will this confilict with my phone service???make setting up the router more difficult??? The only reason is that the price is half of what I pay now...plus you can access your voicemail from any computer and save it if needed. So I guess I'm just looking for any feedback from anyone who has this type of phone service and are there problems..Always taught anything that looks too good to be true just might be..Thanks friends!!!

    I've had both Avast and AVG.....Avast was good, but slowed my bootup tremendously (you know today we want everything faster)....could have been something else....but anyway...the spinning icon in the sytem tray is distracting too...Switched to AVG....hardly know it is running....That's my non technical view...Really don't know if one outperforms the other.... B)

    acrually it was me who talked sultan into comming here sooner than\n he was ready i kept sending him pms .from g4 and world start.

    at the moment he has dissapeared has any one seen a post from him in the last 2 days.at one stage he was posting like a madman.

    but he seems to have devoloped lockjaw .lately

    I used to love the show for technical advice...When they merged with G4 there were so many complaints on other boards...many said to let them settle in and tweak the show...they tweaked it the wrong way....The only thing I can say good about the show is that when it was the old show it got me interested in the techie side of using my PC and joining great forums like this....I still check in once in a while, but can't stand that screaming idiot host they now have......
