  10. Might want to forget the Palm Pre... if you're into Android... see this post on TechCrunch: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/10/17/verizon-launches-direct-attack-against-the-iphone-with-ads-for-the-motorola-droid/ That could be potentially awesome. Also, going to move this to the Electronics forum. B
  11. I love my iPhone and AT&T is very good in my area. Nonetheless, supposedly a little bird tweeted that the Palm Pre will be out on Verizon early next year. B
  12. Just going to move this to the PC Support forum. B
  13. Smart move by Mozilla. They can't risk tarnishing their "secure" reputation. Most of the time though (even true with Windows) if you keep up to date with the latest updates for software you can stay secure. Out of date software is a big security risk and unfortunately most people do not realize that. I knew some people who were still on Firefox 2 (and how many people still use IE6!) until recently and I'm sure there are many others. B
  14. The browser wars are really heating up (again). I've been messing with Google Chrome / Chromium on OSX (and Windows) and I think I may switch over to that once it's out for OSX. B
  15. Well, the forum upgrade is complete! We're now on IPB 3. And the special surprise if you couldn't tell already is this brand new skin that seamlessly integrates with the rest of the site! I've had this in the works for a while so I really hope you all like it. If you do not like that sidebar you can easily hide (I don't know of any way to do it by default) it by clicking the two arrows at the top right of the forums and it will make the forums wider. Please leave your feedback in this thread! B

  17. I'm not sure what you're asking, but no, I don't think it is what you're asking? If that makes any sense. B In regards to the IPB 3 "special surprise". Oh. No, it's not a new feature that IPB 3 introduces. B

  19. Hey Everyone, It's been quite some time since we last upgraded the forum software and now that IPB 3 has been out for a few months, I think now is a good time to do it. The upgrade will most likely take place this week. I do not have an ETA yet, but it will be sooner rather than later. Also, the upgrade to IPB 3 will be accompanied by a special surprise for everyone which I hope all of you will enjoy. B
  20. Realtime search is a huge topic of discussion today. By huge, I mean, literally huge. Various industry blogs discuss it all the time and even Google seems to be interested in the realtime arena. In the society we live in today where everything is instant and people love instant gratification it’s not a surprise realtime search is a big topic that is on people’s minds. You can read my entire article on the problems currently facing realtime search and what needs to be done here: http://www.besttechie.net/2009/10/03/real-...ealtime-search/ CrunchBase InformationTwitterInformation provided by
  21. Three things that just don't make sense to me: Women's shoes, modeling, and news anchors. What about allowing the L.A. Clippers to be in the NBA? Does that make sense? Or allowing the Mets to play in the MLB... B
  22. That second fall... is priceless. B
