Besttechie
Hi Everyone,I have just implimented search engine friendly urls on the BestTechie Forums. These types are URL's are well, as you may have guessed more search engine friendly - meaning better search engine results, etc. All the old links will still work so if you have any saved they will still go to the same thread and everything. Just wanted to let everyone know so they didn't wonder why the links have changed all of the sudden. Example of the new search engine friendly url: http://www.besttechie.net/forums/Besttechie-m1.htmlB
Martint
Just curious, are you doing this with .htaccess/modrewrite or the IPB Mod?

Besttechie
Yes it was Pierce's idea to impliment the search engine friendly urls. Pierce has been helping me a lot lately with a bunch of ideas such as using the blog as the main site, putting in google analytics, the searcn engine friendly urls and a few other things. He actually started a forum which seems to be down at the moment - but the general idea of the forum is for site owners to learn how to expand and make their sites grow. Like increasing traffic, hits, search engine results, etc. The name of the site if anyone is interested is http://techglitch.com ... it's just starting but Pierce has been putting together some awesome resources which I was reading and using so hopefully the site will be back up soon. Besttechie
Search Engine Friendly URL's are now back in place. After the forum upgrade I had to wait for a new version of this modification to come out. It's now implemented once again. B
