Usb Cell Phone As Modem

need help in configuring cell phone as modem in CentOS or other distros, phone shows up ubder usb3 in hub, not recognized in KPPP. ??? files missing.

Motorola Razr v3 works fine with w2k.

I haven't yet had the need to use my phone as a modem, but to access my pictures/ringtones I need to use the cdc-acm driver and from what I've read you also need it for what you want. You will also need the ppp drivers, but for most distros you should have them.

CentOS 4- I have tried the tuxsoft workaround to no avail, i will try the mit-edu link and get back.
