Dragon
what text box are you talking about? as I showed you in the thumbnail, on my first post on this thread, you would do as it shows.First box is the website, second box would be teh name of your website(i.e. webopedia)then it places teh url line in your response box. thesidekickcat
Hello Flash, Ok, you are in the process of writing a post. After you have gone to the site you want to link to and right clicked the url in the address bar for that site and then chosen copy in the drop down box. Then you click on the http:// grey box above your post. It will open a little line to add your url by right clicking and choosing paste to enter it in. (On some boards you will need to erase/backspace the written in http thing that is already there as it will duplicate the one you paste in, I just do that anyhow by habit). Then another line comes up. Add a short text to describe the site. Either by actual name or what it contains. Whatever will give a clue to what the link is for. (Though people should always hover over a link to double check in status bar where it will take them before clicking on it for their safety). Also on the thread where you want the link to go, just have your blinking space line, or whatever it is called, entered in your chosen spot in post before you do the boxes. On long urls, it pays to give it some room by double spacing down the paragraph a bit.Main G4 forums home pageFinish your thread, do a preview, and check out that your link works before posting. This is all easier to do then to explain, sorry about that.God bless everyone. It's similar to HTML, but not quite. The link for your site would look something like this:substitute [ ], for ( )(URL=http://www.powerball.com/pb_home.asp)My Webpage(/URL)
