I checked the ac adapter and battery all fine. any ideas?my first laptop did that. had to send it back and get it replaced. the tech from HP and I determined that it was a mother baord problem. depending on how old the laptop is, that would be the first thing to look at. if the laptop is fairly new, adn under warranty, i would get it sent in to have it repaired.
