jimras Posted February 14, 2006 Report Share Posted February 14, 2006 Hi allI just went to Windows Update for the latest and greatestand of the 5 that were there, one failed to download.It was Windows Security Update KB913446I tried a second time to download it and it failed a second time, tooWhen I went to the update history page, and clicked on the red Xit said that it was an error called "0X8024006"Has anybody else had any trouble with this update??Sys info---AMD 2500+ Barton core (1.87 Ghz)512 MG RAMWindows XP Pro SP1 (SP2 won't install right--that's another story!!!)All other updates installed. Chappy Posted February 17, 2006 Report Share Posted February 17, 2006 (edited) I also had no problem getting that update to install, but MS uses many different servers to be able to keep up with demand so it could be that one or two servers had a corrupt package.That could explain why using a different server, like from Sethook's link, would get you a good install.
