capnkirk11786
I am trying to fix my cousins laptop which is less than a year old. It has 2 fans and both fans are running and working fine and the computer is in a well ventelated area but it keeps overheating and shutting down. Any suggestions? CurlingSteve
Dust clogging the fans screens will shoot the temperatures up in a hurry.I clean mine (from the outside) daily, but the other day my temps went through the roof. When I opened the case I found mats of dust so dense they looked like filters until I touched them.I think you'll find something similar if you open the case and clean inside. macmarauder
could you please provide more information on the laptop. this would help especially in finding information on typical problems with that particular laptop.
murtu52
As CurlingSteve said, I usually find removing dust from the inside helps a lot. If you can't figure out why its over heating, maybe you can consider an external cooling pad as a last resort.
