I got the wireless card's light to come on but it dos not show in sys/admin/network, the only thing in there is ethe0 and modem.Looking fo help. Oh and I like Ubuntu, if I could get this wireless kink worked out all will be good.M'bout ready to let someone login (ie: vnc) to this machine to play with the wireless..... Dragon Posted January 7, 2006 Report Share Posted January 7, 2006 in order to get my Wlan to work, I had to go into the config file and manually put in the essid line for it to work.in my case I had to put "linksys" in the line for the essid in the config file. then my WLAN option showed up on the laptop.worked from there on.
