The Dragon Slayer
All I want is to set up and use one SATA harddrive. I connect the data cable from the sata hd to SATA0 on the motherboard , use the power adapter to connect power. Install the SATA driver that come with the board. The question is that: Do I still have to go into the SATA BIOS Setting to choose raid 0 or raid 1, create array, block size, select boot array...etc as mentioned in the motherboard manual? What are those setting for? Thanks.

robshanahan
Judging from your response to BitBangerUSA's post, I'm not sure if you saw that he posted a link to Seagate's FAQ about SATA. He wasn't asking what SATA is, he was describing the link. If I am incorrect, I apologize.
