Brian_Holiday
I have recently noticed that my Firefox is maxing out the CPU usage on my machine. I am beginning to think I didn't do an update in time. Anyone else seen these symptoms?<followup> This is happening only when I go to G4. Whats up with that?????? Brian_Holiday
Are you using mboverload's extensions?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Nope, will it make a difference? I did suspect this may have something to do with add behavior. BH
jcl
Flash plugin, perhaps. The Flash and Java plugins have never been very well behaved on my machines. Edited October 4, 2005 by jcl
Matt
Yes, Firefox does sometimes not go well with flash player. Any other high-end extensions? Sometimes, Firefox also has an odd way of handling cache, which can consume system resources. Try clearing you cache.Matt

Won't this create problems when using various programs which employ Java, of which there appear to be many?

Certianly I expect to run into a problem eventually, but I really dont hit any sites regularly that use it. This isn't a problem on my primary machine, but this crappy one I use on occassion.
