And it would run pretty warm if you left the stock cooler on it, so if it were to burn out you'd be SOL if whoever you bought it from looked close enough to see what you did. An unlocked Geforce 6800 would perform better for $30-40 less.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The 6800 is about $30 more than a x800 and the x800 beats the socks off of the 6800 in almost every benchmark i've seen 10% better in some test.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Currently, they are the same price; however, the Geforce 6800 can easily be unlocked to perform very close to a 6800GT--much like how the old Radeon 9500 could be unlocked to perform like a Radeon 9700.If you aren't willing to do any work, then your best off with a Geforce 6600GT or Radeon X800 (the X800 performs a bit better, but also costs a bit more). If your willing to do a tiny bit of OCing, the Geforce 6800 is a much, much better deal. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Then, get RivaTuner (use Google, I'm not going to do your footwork) and unlock the pipes and raise the clockspeed.Full instructions can be found easily by searching for "Geforce 6800 Unlock".
