he he he he he he he. shhhhhhhhhhh. i'm hunting windows.

(Elmer Fud (Apples OS X) dressed all in black with a turtle neck shirt and wearing glasses is following signs posted on trees with the M$ logo on them)

(further away a Penquin is slapping signs on the trees in a line)

(crunching noises)

"mehhhhh what's up doc?"

(crunching noises)

"what's with all the signs."

(crunching noises)

"it's cow hunting season again, heh? well good luck doc."

"good luck?! what would i need luck for i'm open source."

"ok doc, but you'll need it"

(the cow jumps up into the air, flips around a few time and then dives into a whole in the ground.)

(mean while Elmer is stopping finally nearing the end of the trail of signs)

he would've been there sooner but he had to stop at each sign to try and enhance the interface of the signs with fancy graphics using photoshop. so a 5 minute walk turned into a couple of hours.

flash forward to the end. besides we all know what happens.

(the penguin is placing his beak back on)

"yourrrr disssspicable! RRRRRRRR its cow season!!"

"cow season"

"penguin season"

"cow season"

"penguin season"

"cow season"

"penguin season"

"cow season"

"Open Source Season"

(the cow snaps his fingers)

(a dozen M$ lawyers pop out from behind the rocks and blast the penguin and elmer to a small pile of dust.)

Just curious old chachazz the CANADIAN!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hi chachazz

yes im a memeber of the

NZ section of the world indigenous diabetes assoc.

and our next conference is in Edmonton is this alberta

in sept 2006 .[need all the info i can on edmonton]

10 of us fron NZ

and more if we can raise enough funds

my fare and accom is payed for

but we'd like to take as many as we can

canada happens to have the best record of any country in the world

on diabetes

the resaearch is funded free

and most medication is goverment funded free

last year the conference was held in cairns queens land australia

an we met the canadian reps who we voted to run the next conference

thier reps names were

GINNETE bisson

and KATHLEEN CARDINAL

WHO HAPPEN TO BE PART CREE INDIANS

and beutiful people they were inside and out

one of the worst effected countrys is the usa

and the most affected are their indigenous people 68 per cent

the incidence of amputated limbs is some where about 53 percent

so it is a world wide problem

and becuase it affects the not so well off it is ignored

in my country

cervical cancer is about

0.1 percent but gets 69 percent of the funding

middle class white woman

with affected f-----s

look i could go on and on

but there isnt the space and time

im looking forward to the trip

if you want to hook up to the diabetes wedsite in canada

Hi Marty,

That trip sounds great and for a good cause, too! For fundraising, your group might want to investigate applying for grants. Son's Dance Team got $1500 from our local Community Fund, which ended up being $125 for each of them for their trip to Denmark. I wonder if the Diabetes Association (if there is one in either NZ or Canada, I know there's one in US) could help cover costs.

Our community has a one day "historical celebration" each July, and the Dance Team set up the only food booth at the event--that was a huge moneymaker for them--they profited anywhere between $1000-$3000, depending on the weather (they ran it for 4 years)--and they sold grilled smoked sausage and hot dogs, lemonade and chips, very easy--

And I bet Canada is beautiful in September! But bring a coat :)

yes ive been warned about taking an umbrella a rain coat

and goloshes or gumboots

as you know we live near the

antartic

and we get very cold weather as well

may be not as cold as canada

but cold enough for me

in NZ we have what they call a lottos commission

and they have granted us enough money to take 5 extra people

so with 15 in all this makes a good contingent .

in 1996 the conference was held in nz and the usa brought 160 people here

over 1800 people from all over the world

and for me my first conference i was overawed

by the freindly ness of every one for the one cause

diabetes .

we are continuilly in touch with the canadian reps making preperations

not me that isnt part of my task

my task is to try and raise more funds

so we can take more people who have diabetes or not

as a dibetic my self my task is to make people

who havent got diabetes

to try and avoid it

hey im getting carried away

thanks for you interest blim

take care

Hey Marty...you're coming to Canada???

You better come visit rv56 and me, we're right next door to you when you get to Edmonton.

rv56 is real close and I'm a few more miles away but its only a 7 hr drive to Edmonton from here.

If you let me know what date you'll be there, I just may make the drive up there if I'm on days off. Maybe I'll even pick up rv56 on the way and we'll all get together and get drunk on our good ole Canadian beer!!
