X-Cannon Posted June 1, 2005 Report Share Posted June 1, 2005 There has to be a way to scan a file that has text on it and change the text to waht you want, I have a few documents and I really need to change the text on it to what I want it to say, anyone have any ideas? X-Cannon Posted June 1, 2005 Author Report Share Posted June 1, 2005 The file will scan and open in word although the text is readable it can't be changed any other ideas I have an HP Scanner/printer/photo copier it's a HP psc 750. However, I think opening it up in a picture editor and simply erasing and writing over it is definately an option.... Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Digidave Posted June 1, 2005 Report Share Posted June 1, 2005 On my Epson I can scan to OCR(Don't ask me what that stands for). That will allow me to open the document in either Note Pad Or Word. When it does it though, it has to convert it to a text document. So yours is most likely being saved as a .jpg or something similar. Chappy Posted June 1, 2005 Report Share Posted June 1, 2005 Most scanners come with OCR software these days, in fact, I believe your model shipped with ReadIris OCR software.Reading up on your model, it seems that ReadIris is included in the HP install CD that contains the drivers and things.
