jimras
HI allMy daughter has a web site and of course, it needs to be updated from time to time. She was using WS_FTP to do this but the time has run out. Is there a GOOD FTP program out there that isfreeware??Thanks.........jim
shanenin
If you happen to have a linux box around, gftp is great. It seems to have all of the normal features, and is easy to use. Not as easy to use, but ftp from the windows command line does work. I have used it to move a few files around, but to manage a website with it would suck.
jimras
Thanks..I could do it with Linux but that's not an option for daughter. She would be totally lost with the Windows FTP also. She was doing OK with WS_FTP but she's kinda like me(Cheap!!)and would rather not pay for it if she didn't have to.Any other ideas??jim

Matt
SmartFTP is great. When the trial runs out, you can still use it.

tictoc5150
When making minor changes or small uploads to my site, I use the FireFTP extension for firefox....I've used most of the apps everyone else mentioned and they're all good but it's pretty convenient having the function built in to my browser to see the changes with just switching and reloading the tab.I also use *gasp* Windows explorer and IE to ftp from time to time.
