Drain Bramaged

Recommended Posts

Since I have some slight drain bramage (think I lost some cells in my early 20's...I can't figure out how to use the tags when replying....If anyone has time and patience, can you walk me thru this. Like if I want to add post or reply in a larger font in color...I've tried adding the tags before, and after my text....highlighting the text etc..I know I'm missing something really easy..Thanks for your patience.....

I can try.

Click the button for the tag you want to use.

In this case I will use "B"for bold.

{B} with { used for [

{b} help then click the "close all tags"underlined text this will close all open tags.

{b}help{/b} will look like this in preview or when you post it help

For color select the color you want from the drop down menu type your text then "close all tags"

I do the links the same way bfor the most part.

Click the http:// button a box will open,{here is where I get strange}

Lets use our bud Google.

From my favorites list{I do most links from there}I right click on google, select properties, right click in the box that opens and select copy.

Then with my cusor over the http:// box right click select paste, the URL for Google will paste in the box.

Then select "OK", in the next box type what you want your link to say.AE Google.Google

It might be a good idea to copy the URL of the site first before you open the http:// box

Just thought I would add a little extra info. Some of it has already been covered, but....

Using BB code:

use [ ] instead of ( )

Opening tag (B)

Closing tag (/B)

(You must use "closing tags" on everything: (/B), (/I), (/FONT), etc...)

Using (B)Hello(/B) will give you:

Hello

Using (I)Hello(/I) will give you:

Hello

Using (U)Hello(/U) will give you:

Hello

Using Font / Times will give you:

(FONT=Times)Hello(/FONT), which will post as:

Hello

Clicking Size / Large will show as:

(SIZE=7)Hello(/SIZE), and will post as:

Hello

I think this board can accept as high as, size 18, on the positive side.

On the negative side I went as low as size -6, which works, but is too small to be of any use.

Size=18

Hello

Size=-6 (in Red)

Hello (See what I mean?)

Using Color / Green will give you:

(COLOR=green)Hello(/COLOR), which will post as:

Hello

Note:

When it comes to color, you're not limited to the basics; red, blue, green, etc...

HTML codes for colors, will work. Just replace "green" with the color of your choice. You can copy/paste the color name (YellowGreen), or the color code (#9ACD32), in place of "green".

This:

(COLOR=YellowGreen)Hello(/COLOR)

Or this:

(COLOR=#9ACD32)Hello(/COLOR)

(Don't forget the "#" sign, in front of the color code number.)

Would give you this:

Hello

Here are a couple of links to HTML color code sites:

HYPE's Color Specifier

htmlgoodies.com

Complete HTML True Color Chart

Using (URL=http://besttechie.net)Besttechie(/URL) will give you:

Besttechie

You can also combine your codes. For example:

(URL=http://besttechie.net)(B)(SIZE=18)(COLOR=#8B0000)Besttechie(/COLOR)

(/SIZE)(/B)(/URL) will give you:

Besttechie
