ok here's the deal, i've got an HP Pavilion 750n and i'm wanting to sell it but it is missing the front bezel and top cover. it'll cost $30 to get a whole new case off eBay for $30 or i've got a nice custom case with a window and neon light inside that i paid $30 for a while ago for another project that i'm no longer need. i'm trying to decide whith way is going to help it sell for more, looking stock or looking like a custom.

so what do you guys think? i'm leaning towards getting a new case like the old 1 myself.

it's alot easier to go online and say something so there's more of those than usual and since most people are motivated when thing go wrong, i think that's why there's more low reviews. and NamingIsHard has a good point too. most people don't know how to make a good review anyways.

sorry but i don't have any ideas either, i'm in the same boat. i took both my online comic and funny man site cause of boredom and now it's just sitting there. i wander if you can donate it, something kinda like SETI (in your computers spare time it help them search for aliens)

true anonymous doesn't exist except for inside this loop. so if you ever want, your perfectly suited to ba an assasin. You have the uniqe ability to confuse the goverment as too your identity. i can see it now, black suit goverment agents scrambling about and trying to explain to their superiors that you are untracable bacuse you don't have a SS card or an ID card. -

hey there my friends, things are still going well for me, well sort off. between time with my girlfriend, which is really going great, and the job i can't seem to get enough time to be online like i used to. in fact i was saving up and paying off some more of my credit card preparing to move in with her in a couple of months.
but Monday i got fired but at least i'll have more time to be onlie again. for the most part i am apparently too honest to work at Pepboys. when a customer asked what i thought about a product i told them, even is i thought it was crappy or over priced or what ever. the manager overherd me telling people to buy less expensive but just as good products or where to buy it for half the money. and they acidentally had way too many people working there anyways. they were only supposed to hire 1 more person after me and hired 3 more instead, plus a guy that's been on medical leave for back problems suddenly came back too. so they cut everyones hours a little bit and cut me from full time to 2 days a week. so i think that they we just looking for an excuse to fire people anyways, but at least now i get to spend more time with everybody online. i should probably post this on the forum so that people will be warned that i'm coming. :-D hehehehe a Mac Attack without warning is a pretty scarry thing. lol
thanks for worrying about me guys but i'm doing ok right now. for some reason when you've gotten really low like i have, and things are bad but not nearly as bad as your lowest point, things don't seem so impossible. sorry i don't kow how to put it better than that. so i'm actually taking pretty well, i'm even relaxing a little, something that i havn't done in a really long time.

i was talking to some kids about how The Screen Savers used to tell where to get and how to build a $500 gaming PC and they wished that they still had a place to go to such info. so i figured that others would want the same thing. so if anyone knows of a good place or has a list of parts and where they got them than list it here to help those unfortunat empty pocketed computer geeks out.

well i was at the indoor fleamarket and came accross a D-Link DI-604 Router for $5. which is a really awsome deal and iv'e got the whole thing up and running now. 1 of the very few computer areas i have little expoerience with is metworking and i could not figure out why i couldn't IP share or even use a cloned Mac Address. turns out that my paticular router won't IP share and freaks out with a cloned Mac Address. ohhhh well, i'm up and runnding now, both my Mac and Pc are sharing the net nice and peacefull like and i'm even thinking of tossing my linux box on there too. besides i need to teach myself some linux networking anyways.
but that's ok cause now i'm cruising at light speed down the information super highway, rideing in my hot blue neon iPod with itunes blasting music out the exhaust and i'm groovin to Weird Al's White & Nerdy . typing a mille a minute in chat wiht 1 hand and playing WOW with the other and munchin with a mouth full of cheetos and sipping my Mountain Dew from my eurgonomical hat dispencer. hey being elite is hard consuming work and no one can touch me for i have the Ashebringer sword and i'll crit you noob!

i thought that i must just be missing something cause i'm using a Linsys EZXSS5W router and no matter what i tried i just can't get internet sharing to work. so i assumed that the earthlink firmware in the DSL modem must be checking the MAC address or hardware id or something. but after even more googling i just found out that paticular router might not support internet sharing which i find very strange and i didn't know until just now.

ok here's the deal, i want to set up internet share between 2 computers on a DSL line, but Earthlink has something where it knows which computer is currently using the internet and they want you to pay extra to let you share the connection to multiple computers at the same time. i've tried to look up more info especially from others with the same problem but i have yet to find anything on google that can help.
any ideas of how i can get around this without hacking? or anywhere that i might be able to find more information about or others dealing with this.
i was thinking of using an IP share device like you can buy at the store.

you have to remember too that since we are primarily a tech support site that most of those member accounts were used once or twice just to ask a question and get help that 1 time. most people don't stick around to chat.

i was out and about on the net skimming for a new screen saver for my Mac & Windows Systems and i was thinking of that it might be nice if we had a place to share what paticular screen savers were our favorites.
On my Macs i currently have Plasma
and on the Windows System i have The Flaming Dragon
and i use GLMatrix on the Linux Side

NICE!! i love custom work spaces.
reminds me of my old life messages days. since i was constantly working on 3-4 different computers i couldn't use a desk so i just used an old school lunch table and slide side to side between computers.

well i'm we're up to 3 large broken branches in the yard and 1 tree that jsut split in half and the mounting bracket for the phone lines broke off the house and the lines are on the ground. i am also having trouble keeping the satalite signal for the tv. wow we got alot of heavy snow fast. it's a good thing that i just finished fixing the furnus last week, so i'm nice and toasty warm or i'd be huddling up with my computer to keep warm, rubbing my feet over heat sink for the processor.
glad i'm home, there were some problems with my cedit card for ordering those parts for my sub $500 gaming computer experiment. so i've been on the phone to fix that. i put down the wrong phone number on the web sit. *slaps forehead*
