    Well it is working so I will not bother it. I like things to just work.

    No. I just recently ran windows update and it had a Serial ATA and internet driver to download and so far so good.

    Now that scares me. There have been to many instances of Windows Update misidentifying hardware and installing incorrect drivers causing serious problems. And the most common thing they misidentify is hard drive controllers.

    If you know for sure what driver it updated you may want to try a driver rollback.

    possibly. It may just be a load of windows that is going bad(various reasons). Does it freeze up in safe mode?

    OK gang here is something simple or so I hope. I have an AMD 4200 X2 64 bit PC with 3GB of ram and running with an PNY 8500GT 512mb video card. I am running windows vista ultimate. with the 320 WD true green or what ever that eco friendly al gore hippy junk type of hard drive. I have not had any problems until now to where the PC is freezing on both login screen and in windows. I have to hit the reboot button and then go back in but then it works for a min or so and then locks up again. Now this is on a low level formated drive. I ran the WD drive tester, no errors. I then ram memtest and so far it has found no errors? Do you guys think PS is crapping out? it is a 400 watt PS. It is from a store here locally called www.ditcorp.com I have purchased from them for a while now and have had no problems for a while. I am thinking the PS is going out but thought this is the place to ask, so what u guys think?

    They are not showing as installed. Yes I installed 1.41 the latest update from the DVD. do you think I should download it and try it that way? Also, no CD Key has ever come up but it has one there on the booklet. The game says the packs are not there because when I try to play a map on the PC here that includes those armies it says I have to go buy it.

    Hmmm. Odd. I just reinstalled those packs to see what happens, and although the game comes with a key it didn't ask for one. Do you have the game fully updated?

    Who/What says the packs aren't installed? Do they not show up on your computer or can you not connect to a server that is running them? What's the exact error?

    I have installed it 5 different times. Each time it only asks for CD Key on BF2 and BF2SF and not the other two. So if you can help me figure it out I would be so greatful.

    Yes; I don't know. I paid more attention to how and where I installed it, but to my knowledge didn't do anything different. Try again and see if it works and we can go from there.

    OK gang I am currently using www.vizu.com for my polling tool but I would like something that is free and will allow bigger images and also allow me to maybe put sound and video files into the survey. Is there there something out there that will alow me to do it, or is there something that I could find as in a script or something?

    Not brave, just an idiot.

    You are braver than I am! Anything with a disclaimer, such as the blue paragraph on that page, would have scared me off, or at least made me buy a second router, before I risked making a doorstop out of my connection to the ether. Good luck. I think we will learn a lot from our Tech experts - Texperts? - here on this subject.

    Well that is sucking big time. I mean it is google, when do they ever go down. I dont get that. I mean imagine all the stuff they will lose if that is the case.

    Well, I'm sure they span all of the accounts across multiple servers, so perhaps the one your on is down for maintenance. If you can use all of the other Google services, it is likely that is the case.

    Nope it is down here and there. I mean I have had to go back and add in all the domains that I had already stored. Here is the error message I am getting.

    I guess that one I am. I am not having problems with GMail or anything else. I will try that and see if it helps. If not, not sure what else I can do.
    Are you having issues with any other Google services?

    Well when I followed this one hack page, http://aruljohn.com/info/linksys/ that said it could be done to the V5 router I have, I waited and waited and waited for it to reboot. It never did. I mean it sat on the reboot page for ever. I went back in to flash it again and it just bricked. All the lights for PCs are on. I mean I have to send it back today and get a free one back. Which is cool that I can get this done.

    I am trying to get it onto my own network so I can get it all over the property. It is not working when I try to join the networks. I have even talked to my neighbors and tried to get on their open routers and it is not working I mean I just don't understand how this join thing is supposed to work. I have tried the bridge and everything.

    Are you trying to jump onto your neighbour's wireless signal through your own wireless router? Sounds like you are trying to bridge wireless connections, which may require further setup. However, if this is what you are attempting to do, why not use your own internet connection? Perhaps the reason you cannot connect is that the other signal is protected.
