No problem, you are very welcome, Marty! Ubuntu is an excellent distro! When you feel ready to experiment Debian is a good choice; I'm running it on a few machines.

You can download the net install iso with any computer either Windows or Linux. It is a small iso about 158 MB. You will boot from that iso. It will install a base system to your computer and then ask you if you want to use a network mirror to get files from the Internet, make sure you say yes to that question. The installation routine is not graphical, but, an easy to use text based routine where you will use your keyboard to enter information. The install routine is a bit harder to understand than Ubuntu so you may wish to read up on the Internet before you attempt this. Have fun, Marty:-
