  1. I agree. I can't see another company dethroning Google anytime soon. This writer has written off Yahoo. Yahoo is Over
  2. Yeah, they are, but I trust Microsoft more than Google. Better the devil you know, and there isn't much we don't know about Microsoft. True. Google is a rather enigmatic entity that seems intent on controlling the solar system, much like the crew from Redmond. I do like the salad bar and eats that the employees at Google enjoy. MS and Yahoo have their work cut out for them!
  3. I would certainly be wary of doing business with Microsoft, they are ruthless.
  4. Interesting. I never thought I'd see the day that Yahoo and Microsoft would be in business together. They're trying to take on Google. Go Google. What do you think about the deal? CNN Money
  5. Happy Birthday, Rich!! Good to hear that you enjoyed your day, my friend!
  6. Ha-ha, good one! I suspect a more mundane explanation of that incident may be that the VP has poor vision or he is a poor hunter.
  7. Good to hear you're okay, marty! Scary stuff indeed!
  8. Ha-ha, good one, martymas:-) We're not old....we're experienced!
  9. Agreed. I'm running Facebook at the moment with FF 3.51 and have no issues.
  10. It may be a plug-in problem, like adobe flash.
  11. Agreed. Politics is a strategic, dirty business, the ultimate blood sport. I would love to know what the machinations were behind the decision to go public with the allegation.
  12. Do you have any proof that the director of the CIA intentionally leaked this story to deflect criticism from a failing health care proposal? You're suggesting that there may possibly be some type of conspiracy between Leon Panetta and the White House? If that is true it would be a disturbing bit of news. I think it far more likely that it is a coincidence that the timing of the leak and the failure of the bill happened closely together. However, I will concede that your theory is possible.
  13. You and I will agree to disagree on this one, jcl. It doesn't matter if the program was benign. Cheney allegedly broke the law by choosing to keep the program secret. I hope some "childish" lawyers choose to waste government funds and conduct an investigation;-) I've enjoyed this debate immensely. Thanks, jcl!
  14. Happy Birthday, Jeff:-)
  15. Granted, you did not equate the two transgressions, but, you did mention them together. Hence, my objections. The impeachment of President Clinton was a joke, a witch hunt. President Clinton could have been removed from office, but, for a laughable offense......lying about an affair. If Clinton had any sense at the time he should have said "no comment", when asked about his relationship with Miss Lewinsky. I enjoyed watching the spectacle of Kenneth Starr and his cohorts trying to pin down the wily President Clinton. I enjoy the fact that the people who attempted to crush President Clint
  16. Probably true. If an investigation goes forward I doubt that Cheney will be convicted. However, the nature of the transgressions are very different. That is, the seriousness of the charges leveled against then President Clinton and Vice President Cheney are not in the same ball park at all. You can't really equate a middle aged man lying about an affair with a staffer to someone withholding information about a secret counter terrorism program from Congress. VP Cheney's alleged transgression potentially has national security ramifications. President Clinton's transgression was admittedly
  17. Doesn't matter if you trust them. They have to be briefed or it's illegal. I'll be very curious to see how this unfolds. That is, will the AG press forward and investigate or will the WH insist that the matter be dropped.
