like being in a timewarp? There is a station in Nashville that plays only late 60's, 70's, 80', and very early 90's rock but rarely they play anything later than the 80's. "Classic rock that really rocks, The Rock at 105.9 WNRQ Nashville" When they say it though it is one oh five nine. the don't say the point. WNRQ on Wikipedia

they'd be be cooler with tuned Civics, 240SX's, and Eclipses.

thanks man I'll update back to the new drivers and fix em.
-
I installed the new drivers but I don't like the new interface and some stupid SLI deactivated notice keeps coming up everytime I start the computer..............my 6600GT is AGP. There doesn't seem to be as many features as the older drivers and I know they changed the format to make it easier for less knoledgable people but dang it ain't anywhere near as easy as the old drivers. I thought They were a little bit more straight forward. Is there anyone else out there that has installed them as dissatisfied as myself?

$250!!!!!!! that makes the $75 a local shop charges to do that a steal.
-
hmm that's how i could fix mine but. I'd rather just get started on a new system though.

same basic thing happened to me basically. Try clearing your bios by removing the battery from the motherboard or if there is a CLR_CMOS jumper or something like that try setting it to clear and turn the computer and for a little bit and let it clear and then reset the jumper. If that don't work then you are in the same boat as me. Mine just did the same basic thing now my Compaq is serving as my primary system.

Freezing During Start Up

I'd have to say Power Supply. When my good computer died I massivley upgraded my compaq. I swapped in my 6600GT, memory, and of course a the PSU from the main system. Since it was a full size ATX 400W PSU I had to bend one little slivver of metal to fit it. You need teh extra juice to power that system. A 5500 ain't exactly like a 6600GT but I still say you need to upgrade to a 250W or better PSU. I believe the minimum for a 5500 is 250W. (Though I succesfully utilized a 5700Ultra with a 200W with no problems for the 6 months it was in the Compaq.) You may not even have a 200W if it is that ol -
well i guess since everyone is in the pool me DD need to start dunkin the high schoolers then.

it's not that it is impolite but rather it is demening. That's what the Americans called the Japanese in WWII and I for one thought the websites name very wrong. Still funny though.

Let the college students commence the torment of the high school students. Wedgies and locker stuffing all around!!

Well I figured since this board was my idea, I might as well kick it off showing ya'll my interest in music. I have a few Pagan's Mind song's to share. They are progressive metal. I love progressive stuff like Pagan's Mind, Queensryche, and Rush. Here's the first. It's a song off their first album, Infinity Divine. It's not as progressive as the later 2 but still different. It's Called Embracing Fear. I've posted the lyrics to it once in Word Association. If ya'll ever wondered how it sounded here it is. Pagan's Mind - Embracing Fear Here's the next song. It's off their 2nd album Celestial Ent

YES! People actually listen to me. WHO KNEW?!?!

Hey DD lets wedgie these guys that are still in high school and stuff them into lockers.

I jsut did a ghetto boot loader. This is how you do it. 1. open case 2. move power dongle from 1st drive to 2nd. 3. Power on and watch Windows boot. I have no problems with driver support but most of my hardwarte was old. only driver it didn't have was my SB Live!. I just activated the onboard audio and I had sound. Sounds like you're just gonna have to do it the pain in the butt way. That's why I just switch dongles on the drives cause I hate dealing with boot loaders after an FC4 fiasco. Always keep a spare HDD for testin stuff like that. Hve fun un-installing.

It looked worse before I rearranged it and cleaned it up. Also I have swapped keyboards since that picture. The keys on that old Elite were gettin stiff. I put my newer Elite LE in it's place. That's wallpaper is on only half my room. I have a suite. There are some double doors and they used to be closed. On one side of them was my brothers room (UT) and the other my room (blue plaid). Now both are mine and all my tech and entertainment stuff is on the UT side just about.

well the board also supports 266. It's another computer at my grandmothers house. It has an Athlon XP 2000+ in it now but would the 3000+ be faster being under clocked to 333. -

forget it. I just swapped the 2600 back in. Would a 400MHz FSb 3000 operate faster than a 2000 on a 333MHz FSB board?
