GET THIS OUT TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO USES QUARTERS!!!!
Hang on to any of the new Kentucky Quarters.
If you have them, they may be worth much more than 25 cents.
The US Mint announced today that it is recalling all of the Kentucky
quarters that are part of its program featuring quarters from each state.
This action is being taken after numerous reports that the new quarters
will not work in parking meters, toll booths, vending machines, pay
phones or any other coin operated devices.
The problem lies in the unique design of the quarter, which was designed
by a team of Kentucky engineers.
Apparently the duct tape holding the two dimes and the nickel together
keeps jamming up the machines.

Your PC will judge how good the updates are in reality.

Sometimes it's just better to keep your bugger hooks in your pockets and off the keyboard. Could a certain someone have been practicing for a career as Forum Master at G4?

I had Crucial tell me after a scan, I could use PC2100, 2700 or 3200 RAM on a friends old PC. So she went with the PC3200 because it was the cheapest price (it wouldn't work), only to find out from the the PC maker that the mobo could only use PC2100 or 2700.
I think Crucial is slipping.
What make and model PC was it? I'm courious, as I have never had problems with Crucial.

Check and recheck your work.....

Good thing there wasn't an old baby in the old carrier. Yikes.....

Did you use the Crucial site for memory selection? See here.....
You may also want to put back the original memory and run the Scan My System feature HERE.

They have a few nice cases here..... As mentioned, put your money into a quality power supply.

Might want to spend some time teaching your sister how to surf safely. Once of prevention and all that stuff.....

hi team in outlook express how
do i set my sending options to bbc
or undisclosed recipient
i had it set to this option but ive forgotten how
thanks marty
Step 1:
Start a new email, or click "Forward" button as appropriate.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 2:
If the BCC field is not already displayed, click "View" on the toolbar and then click "All Headers":
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 3:
The BCC Field will then be displayed:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 4:
Now you can add email addresses to the BCC field in the same way that you would with the "To: or "Cc:" fields.
You can add addresses directly into the BCC field, like this:
Or click the Address Book icon and add email addresses to the BCC field, like this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 5:
Once you have added all the desired recipients to the BCC field, you can click Send to get your email on its way to all those addresses. When your recipients receive the email, a message such as "Undisclosed Recipient" will be displayed in the "To:" field and they will therefore not be able to view each other's email addresses:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you can see, it is very easy to protect the email addresses of your friends and family by using the Blind Carbon Copy facility in Outlook Express. Before forwarding emails, it is also important to remove any previous email addresses from the messages.

What is the benefit to having all the routers? What are the liabilities?

Lets hope they had a big supply of munchies ready for the guys after the fire was put out.

Those poor children. I can't believe that the paint manufacturer would be allowed to market a product with lids that were not child proof. The kids never stood a chance and will probably be scared for life after this humiliating experience. I only hope that proper legal representation can be found to hold the manufacturer accountable for their obvious flawed container. The same for the maker of the upstairs sofa. How can a manufacturer market a product with such construction and material that would put the life of a poor puppy at risk. Think what could have happened if the sofa had been downstairs next to the faulty paint can. Has the greed of the manufactures gotten to the point where no animal or child can be left in the company of their products without the risk of bodily harm or death? Then again, someone should beat the hell out of the parents who allowed these situations to happen......

I said NO. I don't want to take the risk of making a change and loosing the Google Bot Ads. Makes me feel like I'm at G4 forums.

Hey all,
I have a Compaq model SR2020NX with currently 512MB of memory. I need more than that so I'm looking to upgrade to atleast 1GB depending on how much money I could spend. But Im confused as to which memory I should buy. I know my motherboard supports PC4200 (533 MHz) but this website Here
says my motherboard will also support PC2 5300 (667 MHz) DDR2 DIMMs?
I'm assuming the 5300 is better but at a higher price? Also how does dual channel work? Say I can only purchase a 1GB memory stick, could I later purchase the same type of memory stick and it will function in dual channel? Does PC2 5300 also work in dual channel? I just need more memory for multi-tasking. My motherboard is a A8M2N-LA (NodusM).
I would suggest that you use the same speed memory as you presently have. Although the memory is backward compatible, there is really no need to buy the faster memory. Dual channel is a function on the motherboard and not the memory. To utilize the function you will need to use 2 identical memory sticks in the 2 slots. Using 1 stick will be OK until you spring for the second stick. Rumor has it that dual channel only gives a 4% to 8% increase in performance, so not a real big deal.

I threw a HDD in one of these NAS devices to use for storage, auto backups, and file sharing on my network.

Must be nice, guys. Got $7.1K back from the Fed, BUT owe the State $9.3K. Enjoy the Cds and guages....
are you a business owner?
I worked for Xerox for 32 years, retired and then opened up a service business with 20 employees to do work for them. About 4 years ago Xerox bought out my business and I retired again. My wife still works and is a Regional Service Manager for Sun Microsystems here in the LA area.
Good for you :-)
Maybe someday I will have 20 employees(more headaches)
20 employees can be a big headache but you have to remember that they are there because of the revenus stream that you have that requires that many. And, you get to a point where the profits far outway the personnel issues.

If it ain't broke..............
As long as your old router doesn't have any limiting factors/features that can be had by switching to the Linksys, stay with what's been keeping you happy. Now if you want a new toy to play with, well, that's just a whole new ball game.
