    I know him! and I'm only 14! My dad bought a dvd with a lot of his stuff a few years back. He is awesome!

  9. Installation Problems

    Ok, well I play Call of Duty 2 online a lot, and theres this server I play on with custom maps. Well, I thought I'd like to make a map, so I asked one of the people that makes them for the program they use. They gave the link to me, and I downloaded it. I went to install it, but its not working:

    It says to use the path of Call of Duty 2, as highlighted.

    So thats what I do, as shown here.

    And, as you can see this, error comes up, despite the fact that I did exactly what it said.

    Well, I tryed looking deeper, for and "install" folder or something, nothing worked.

    I also tryed using simply the "Activision" folder, didnt work either.

    Any ideas on the probelm? Any way to fix it?

    I'm not a big gamer and I'm not up on all the latest processors. Your video card choices are limited. It's a PCI slot not AGP Here's NewEgg's selection. Remember you want DX 9 support Are you OK on memory? Just remember that it probably won't be near as good as playing it on the other machine. What is the motheboard make and model?

    Make=Not sure what it would say of it................... but what im guessing for what it says would be:

    Dont think thats right, for the make i mean, doesnt really say, unless i just missed it?

    I need:3d hardware Accelerator card-DirectX 9.0c compatible 64mb

    I have:Intel 865-G PCI Accelerated SVGA

    Processor:

    I need:Pentium 4 1.4ghz or AMD athlon XP 1700+ processor or higher

    I have:Intel Celeron D

    Sound Card:

    I need:16-bit Sound card

    I have:AC'97 Audio Controller

    My wife just pointed out this to me. since most users are setup as non admins, kids will have a harder time installing stuff without having the administrator password.
    Yeah, and mom and dad will get tired of being asked everytime and end up giving the password. You know it only takes one bad D/L.

    and maybe, after being annoyed that much, they will simply make them admin? idk, ive always been admin.......................

    Was Windows ME a failure? They kept calling it ME 2, but i never had a ME, went from 98 right to xp.........................

    The newer computer systems suck.

    I've got a 98 Malibu that periodically gives me messages from the on-board computer.

    Cars can have computers in them? all the ones we have just have a/c, heat and radio.......................

    maybe we are thinking of different type of computers? eh, whatever.......
