    Hi all

    I'm beyond lost

    Prior to reimaging or clean re-install from the factory if you wish

    Had found a freeware and no spyware program that

    Added to right click,, "send to" what ever I wished to add

    Yes I know how to drag and drop

    Beem thru Kellys Korner to the point of losing my color and see-ing Black and white

    so many times

    Such a nice small download and have given up further searchs

    Sorry for a very hard question,, to the one that finds my answer will be

    Always be a hero in my book

    Cool CB radio,, did cost me $20.00 in 1970 for the licence

    Consider if you wish Ham radio

    The test has become so easy that 9 y/0 ...s ...pass

    No need to learn Morse code>>>A telegraph code in which letters and numbers are represented by strings of dots and dashes (short and long signals)<<<Word Web and freeware

    Full privileges 50 Meg and up no limit....1,500 watts

    Below 50 Meg known as shortwave requires only 5 words per minute test Morse code

    marsh_Ox, I never new Morse code even tho I went to work for Western Union in 1946 as a teletype repairman. The only code I could do was to spell Mississippi, If you remember that is dot,dit,dot,dot,dot>forever, if my memory is correct. Also if I remember right, code operators would sign the customer messages in numbers to save time, 89 was Love & Kisses and I think 86 was Best Regards. If we could find a list of them we could sure save some typing here.

    Still no warning

    I learned the code with word association soo many years ago

    D= the dog did it

    A= say ahh

    N= Na zi

    Trips up many unless word association trained

    Oh how I wish to erase the code from the brain

    Such an old way to communicate,, In the future I do believe will go away

    A friend and his 11 Y/0 daughter could listen to code way beyond 30 wpm,,words per minute and carry on a deep discussion with me

    >>> teletype<<< in the Army had 3 for my long haul microwave sites

    Learned to type with what ever finger or thumb available

    And then you bring up Western Union,, K9** a ham friend,, blind but uses code

    Was a well respected Tech in your era and you may have met him (won't use names or call signs without permission)--Howard

    Very proud of the hams passing messages to their loved ones from Florida to ? any-where

    I wish I had a great story for you all, BUT, The present wife took one look at my basement and it became my handle in the old CB radio days, so it stuck. Now if you could see the basement THAT would be interesting. Oh yes the number come from the address.

    Interesting stories on how people have named themselves. Well I'll add my story to the list. Since I have an affinity for Meso-American culture or any Indigenous cultures I liked the name of the Olmecs, from Mexico. When I was doing some traveling in Mexico, I went to the national museum and seen the various stone statues. The Aztec calendar is very impressive as is the Olmec head statue, which is immense. I used that name since I was creating an account on TechTV, i was also looking at some pictures of some pyramids I visited and the Olmec statue, so I used that name as my own.

About says it all of course the il is for the miserable state I live in.......Hahahahahaha......I have been called Wiccan for oh about 30+ years because of my beliefs so there you hvae it.....

    My suggestion for the windows support board is that we have a sticky thread there for the best ways to clean up your system if it is lagging. This sticky, I believe, should include the following: (If I forget any, please feel free to let me know)

    1) cleaning out cache, temp and cookies

    2) defragging

    3) a link to the spyware info thread

    4) windows updates

    5) running your AV

    6) keeping your programs updated

    Basically what I'm suggesting this sticky be about is the basic maintenace to keep one's computer running smoothly. I'm sure we will start getting those repetative questions about their computer slowing down and such. This way we can just refer them to the sticky, and hopefully it will keep those kinds of repetative questions from being so overwhelming.

    Just keep your anti-virus up to date and run your spyware detectors

    When I'm in doubt I switch over to IE (uggg) in order to run Bugnosis

    Throw another 2 in only then will I feel safe
