  1. After following your instructions Bubba I went to "view workgroup computers" and I can see the second computer there. I also tried the option "view workgroup computers" in the second pc but instead I received the message:

"Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The network path was not found"

I'm the computer administrator in both systems, is there anything else I should change for this to work?

P.S. As an extra detail when I was finishing running the network set-up wizard in both computers the second PC asked me to restart the system (this is the PC with the error message) the first PC didn't ask me to do so, but I did it anyway

  2. Are there any skype users in these forums, who can atest for the usefulness of the service that skype provides for landlines and cellphones? Has anyone here try them out? sorry if this isn't the right place to post this question but I didn't find any related subforum of the sort

  3. I'm trying to burn an image of the Ubuntu 7.04 text-based Alternate Install CD, and I'm using ImgBurn. The burning process never finishes, instead it stops at 19% and the message data error (cyclic redundancy check) pops out. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem and how to solve it?

  4. I have downloaded an RSS extension for Firefox (Wizz RSS News Reader) from its website. I did it yesterday, and as soon as I opened Firefox the extension was right there in my browser, however, I didn't add any rss or made any changes.

The problem showed up this morning when I decided to actually add a couple of sources from news and blogs. I opened Firefox but the extension wasn't there anymore! it just disappeared! so I went and checked in the tools -> add ons menu of the browser and to my surprise the extension was in the list of my add-ons, I thought that perhaps there was an error when the extension was installed, thus I decided to uninstall the extension and install it a second time, but the result is the same my extension doesn't show up in the browser, but it does show up in my list of add-ons in the tools menu, how can this be? does anyone know why is not possible to see the extension but still have it listed as being downloaded?

  5. I have a spare system without any OS installed and I want to install Ubuntu in it. The problem is that this system has only 128 MB of RAM and I've heard that for installing and running Ubuntu 256 MB is necessary at least. Is there any way to work around this problem? is it possible to install Ubuntu first, and then upgrade the memory RAM in the system?
