that is the kind of thing that keeps me from using credit cardsunless absolutely necessary. I write checks or pay cash wherever possible. A friend got stung for over $1000 some years ago and had a two year fight with tthe card company before they finally relented and accepted that he did not buy the stuff. A girl at work also got caught because her soon to be ex put up the credit limit on her card and spent a lot of it before she voided the card. As he was an authorised co user the card company let him do this without calling her.
