  1. Well, I didn't get flooded, but the forecast is... rain, rain, more rain, still more rain, oooh tornado rain. Yeah I was under a tornado warning the other day eek.
  2. ROFL that's great! I don't know if I can stop laughing.
  3. there's something with Win98, you need something from the manufacturer to get it to recognize it, check the manufacturer's website.
  4. It'd probably be a good idea to upgrade as, there are 1 GB cards out there now. I don't use ATI, I didn't like their GUI or the installation of their drivers.
  5. Uhm, you wouldn't have something like Kazaa or Bonzi Buddy on your pc, if so, that could be causing the problem.
  6. that or he wanted to spin his tires and yell, "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" oh and living in Texas for the win. Did you take that pic when that ice storm came through?
  7. So they put chains on the front, but NOT the back o_O?
  8. IIRC, YouTube has a few specific codecs required. As long as it's on YouTube, it SHOULD not saying it is, but it should be safe. Because in this case I think their flash player is acting as a codec to decompress it (I think). Thing is, with these fake codecs, you cannot encode the video. It's just a virus. So, technically I think YouTube will be immune from it. I don't think YouTube requires any other downloads other than flash. I like YouTube for the massive amount of anime that is on it (Yes I'm an anime freak). So just don't follow any links off of YouTube to videos that may ask for a codec
  9. I just looked in all of FF's options, I don't think it has that option.
  10. Well, that's what I've been told for years. I've used System Restore once, and it seriously jacked up my system (I was 12 though). Some viruses embed themselves within System Restore points and even come back after being deleted by a virus scanner because the os denies access to those files.
  11. Don't use system restore, it can harbor viruses.
  12. alcohol kills the liver... causes cancer... contributes to the death rate... I hate... all forms of abusive substances... and Owens Corning...
  13. I'm pretty satisfied with my IBM T43. *hugs the fingerprint scanner* though it did get pwned by Zone Alarm Pro and once by Bittorrent.
  14. I had Generic Win32 host die on me randomly this morning so I thought it'd be good to post another log. 15. Some good anime is Outlaw Star (I own the boxset). Naruto if you're into ninjas and can stand hyperactive people. Hellsing (not to be confused with Van Helsing) is good if you're into vampires an stuff. .hack//SIGN is good unless you don't like emo's (.hack//SIGN has been reviewed as emo before emo was emo) has great music though. .hack//Twilight Bracelet is a funny spinoff that takes place after the ps2 games. Tenchi Muyo is also awesome. Tenchi Universe is too. Love Hina is funny as hell and so is Love Hina again (it's the second OVA chronologically after the first). Ranma 1/2 is funny (I'm
  16. Here it is. I just wanna see if I'm infected with anything so far. 17. I couldn't concentrate on my Comp Sci AP Test, but I did get a 3. Plus I was stupid and forgot to study >_>
  18. I dunno about hardware, but it could be a PSU problem?
  19. well hopefully, if I win an argument tonight I can get her to fund me building a new pc. it is 4 yrs old....
  20. I see, it may be the dust because, well in 2002 the HP case didn't have much cooling capabilities and I had to find some way to cool it because it was overheating and a new fan didn't help so I took the side off of it and it's been cooler ever since, but that does let a lot of dust in so I'll try the canned air thing whenever I get some. After the 9th try, I blew into the case and the 10th start it tried. Also the last time I took a look at the heatsink it was like fully clogged with dust.
  21. Well, I normally try to leave my pc on all the time even though it normally takes maybe 60 seconds to actually start up. Originally it took like 5 minutes, (it was a basic HP computer from 2002). It has 640 MB of ram, a 1.3 GHz cpu (AMD Athalon Thunderbird), a 24-bit Sound Blaster, and a 256 MB 3D Fuzion (it's a subsidiary company of BFG Tech) GeForce 5500 OC (Overclocked by factory) gfx card. 80 gig hdd, hp cd burner. This week when it's been shut down when I restart it, it takes multiple times. Last time it took 2 tries but this morning it took a whole 10 tries. I think it's from old age...
