IMO the favicon could use a little brushing or something in the bottom left, because ATM the bottom left looks out of place and distracting.

I'm not good at large art. I would say nothing over 400x400 I can make. I wouldn't count on me to make a design or something for a site, unless it is just a banner or logo or something. Really, I'm not good with HTML or CSS, and I already have a website with a online friend see sigg, so I can help you manage some forums or whatever but thats about it.

Well, I got a laptop that gets really slow internet from this part of the house and those mouse over effects are slow like no other. Although, I haven't tried out the buttons on a wired connection which should be much faster. Just my experience. BTW, who made that banner? Looks like a tut IMO.

Looks really good. But if I were you I would take the moving animation out of the top navigation bar, because on lower connections it can look really bad and slow. Maybe just changing the color of the selection on mouse over or something similar.

I wouldn't worry about it. The only problem you may have is posting it on deviantart as they are parinoid about copyright crap.
