I'm on my brother-in-laws PC and he thinks when you click on a link it should go to that site instantly. If it doesn't he keeps clicking(impatient). Everything seems ok to me. Here's what I've done. A West Texas cowboy was herding his cows in a remote pasture when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud towards him. The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, Ray Ban sunglasses and YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?" The cowboy looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, Why not?" The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his AT&T cell phone and surfs

Come to think of it, I got one of those Monk-E-Mails about a month or so ago and spam has picked up. I used to get spam occasionally(not much at all though) but now I'm getting 3-5 a day. Glad I saw your post because that might be the culprit. I think it's time for me to get MailWasher for a few weeks.

I too remember il_wiccan from TechTV days. He gave excellent advice and still got a one star rating and loved it.... Happy Birthday! You are missed by many!

Why Windows Vista Won't Suck http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1931913,00.asp We know we titled this piece "Why Windows Vista Won't Suck" and that's a big statement to make. To be honest, we don't know that it's going to be great just yet. The OS is still very much in beta, and if previous Microsoft operating systems are any indication, a whole lot of things come together in the last few months. As such, we certainly can't recommend you set aside some upgrade money right now. Old Article, but worth reading.

I'm on a friends NEW PC(3 WEEKS OLD) so hope an expert can look at this soon. Spybot S&D found a few tracking cookies plus Wild Tangent. Did not fix Wild Tangent because I think HP comes with it? Ad-aware found a few tracking cookies too. CWShredder found nothing. NIS 2006 found nothing. I'm thinking NIS and only 256 of RAM is why this thing is so slow? Thanks! A wise old Texas rancher went to town to trade for a pickup truck he saw advertised in the paper for an unbelievably low price. After showing the salesman which truck he wanted, they sat down to do the paperwork. The salesman handed the rancher the keys and the bill, to which the Texas rancher angrily declared, "This ain't the price I saw!" The salesman went on to tell the wise old Texas rancher how he was getting extras such as power brakes, power windows, special tires, etc. and that made the final price higher. The Texas rancher wanted only that truck and no other, so he begrudgingly paid t

Thanks Dave! I've seen that Shortcut key option before, but have never experimented with it. I probably use my keyboard 90% of the time, with no Icons on my Desktop.

Just to add a bit more info. Start / All Programs / Accessories / Windows Explorer / View > List / Then Tools / Folder Options / View Tab / Apply to All Folders / Apply / Ok After doing that and your folder settings do not want to stick, Increase Folder View Size Limit to 8000 (Line 2) http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm ^I used this a few years back and it made my folder views stick.^ Save Settings on Exit (Line 54) http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Note: Apply to all folders does not stick: If you are using TweakUI/Uncheck Only allow Windows Classic Shell Scroll do -
Is the link supposed to support Firefox as faster? From the article: "So overall, Opera seems to be the fastest browser for windows." No, not at all. I put the link up to show that Opera is faster on Windows. Should have included this. 1.4 Which Browser is the Fastest? I've long felt that Opera 9 and K-Meleon were the two fastest browsers that I've used but this was purely subjective. At this site they put 24 Windows browsers to the test and the clear winner for speed is Opera. Well behind are IE 6 and Firefox, who overall perform rather similarly. Most of the browsers that use the IE shell
