martymas Posted September 17, 2006 Report Share Posted September 17, 2006 hi team i freind has lost OE and cant bring it back as he is many miles from me i cant see the compt i sent him the win components option also the runbox option the start menu customise and check the email optionbut he still cant get it to openi tried to get him to search for it and send it to his desk topbut no go now my Q can OE be reinstal from microsoft site or does it come with the packagesas ive never lost i dont know so i cant advise him that is all the info i have i thought some one may have some ideamarty Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Chappy Posted September 18, 2006 Report Share Posted September 18, 2006 MartyHave him check to male sure the OE executable is in the proper place first. Will be in Program Files - Outlook Express folder and looks like an envelope with 2 blue arrows swooping around it (if the icon is intact that is) and named msimn.exe.If he can find it have him dble click that before we go reinstalling OE as a reinstall may lose any saved mail he has.If it's not in that folder have him do a search with advanced options for msimn.exe. Set advanced search options to search hidden files & folders ans system folders too. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
