wonderent Posted September 15, 2006 Report Share Posted September 15, 2006 Hope someone can help me.A friend just got a brand new Dell computer, and it asks her if she would like to activate Windows Media Player 9 series. I know she needs WMP 10, but wasn't sure if she should just ignore the 9 series activation and go straight to Window Update and download WMP 10......OR should she activate the WMP 9 before downloading 10.Does anyone know?Sure thank you for your time. nancy Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Chappy Posted September 18, 2006 Report Share Posted September 18, 2006 I'd actually do it the other way round myself, activate WMP9 and then d'load 10....just in case ya know.Knowing MS, they just may want to see an activated copy of WMP9 before they let you do an upgrade to WMP10, but I really don't think it should make a difference either way.
