thesidekickcat
Interesting news. I tried to update today (forgot to do it yesterday), but 'update page was down...so sorry for inconvenience'. I just figured they were changing it for some reason. I sure hope it will still be freely available though I have a feeling it wont be after reading the article. Sigh!PatGod bless everyone. Chachazz
More Info:Comments made by vinzenz.ewido - ewido rep - @ Wilders :Keep cool. For our customers nothing will change. ewido anti-malware will still exist. This means the company ewido network was accquired by Grisoft, not only our technology. So we're now part of Grisoft, but the product ewido anti-malware will still exist and the development will be continued. Matt
I think AVG will incoorporate a lot of the definition files and other technlogies from Ewido into its AntiVirus tool, but Ewido will remain as a stand-alone tool as well. Ewido is due for a big update, and from what I hear, its gonna look something similar to Windows Defender (lets just hope it works better than Windows Defender).Since both companies believed in free versions of their software, I'd bet both tools will still have free options.
