blim
XX and Marty seem to be on the right track, but I read once about someone with the same problem and it ended up being a short in the power button on the case (I tend to remember the "unusual problems"!).Liz Edited March 10, 2006 by blim

rhema7
are you hooked up to a broadband connection or on a network? if you are the wake on LAN feature maybe on.Preston
Pete_C
I can't resistIt could be a fluctuation in power causes the bios to think there was a power failure and it is set to restart on rusume from power failure. Check the bios setting.Unplug your LAN (ethernet) and Modem . There are wake on lan and wake on ring (modem) settings which can be disabled if you find one of them is the cause.I would also say check your motherboad documentation to see if it has wake on keyboard. I had one that did and my siamese cat kept turning it on in the middle of the night. It could be a short on the motherboard or a bad power supply too. Do you have any problems while it is running?
