novi
Welcome to the forum. You might give this a try. Go to control panel. Open up the system icon. Select the advanced tab, go to the section where it says start up and recovery and select settings. Go to system falure and uncheck automaticly restart. Hope that helps. I have had 3 emachines and had to do that with all of them.Take care ,Pat

martymas
hi welcome to BThave you installed any hardware ?or installed third party drivers ?there are many reasons. for this .if you went to safe mode will it still produce random starts?it could also be a heat problem, you may need an extra fan .it could be a power problem .go to power options ,post back the tabs on the power options tool bar.and make sure your power settings are set to,power schemes set to always on and monitor and hdd set to never.pat has posted how to stop the auto restarts now we have to find why it is doing thismarty Edited February 9, 2006 by martymas

TheTerrorist_75
You're welcome. Those three software vendors, two of which seem connected (Allume and Aladdin), all seem to have the same issue with that file.
Matt
Just for some information on this company: the spyware tool is crap.IC Spyware Scanner allume.comaladdinsys.comGives ridiculous false positives; outrageous license terms; crashes during scan; this application is bundled in Internet Cleanup (same company) as spyware protection.(http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm)
