MrBill Posted January 26, 2006 Report Share Posted January 26, 2006 hi all i wonder i any one could help a friendhe has been using nortons for years but has decided to uninstall it and use avg. which by the way he swears by but there is still remnents of nortons on his sys. a file named navshdll.exethat wont delete even in safe mode.does any one no how to get rid of this file thanks martyMay have to reinstall Norton and then try deleting it again. You can go to Norton's and find out how to delete their products. They have a sequence to do such. I just deleted 2003 System Works from a friends PC and there is nothing left. Anyway here is a document from Symantec on uninstalling their products depending on what year he has. Make sure he uses the correct one. Do not use 2003 for 2004 or 2005 version.
