bobgo2627
OK I purchased a USB Print server to use in my network. I purchase a USB Pocket-Sized Print Server and it works fine in my windows machine but when I go to to look it up on my ibook, it shows an apple talk connection but I noticed it is putting my HP DeskJet 3520 as a LaserWriter printer. macmarauder
just so you know i noticed that you didn't buy one that was meant to be os x compatible. most of the time you can cheat and get away with getting things to work anyways but you might want to look for that next time. bobgo2627
No it just helps if OS X would have the drivers that it claims to have installed. I had to use some download linux drivers that were made for OS X to make it work. It is cool though.
macmarauder
so a third party, non official, non recognized, driver is already supposed to be installed for you? hmm. where did you read that that driver was claimed to already be installed or where did you read that that print server was supported. http://zonetusa.com/DispProduct.asp?ProductID=115hmmm i don't see os x on there. i see several windows, i see unix/linux, i see london, i see un..der.... pants??? nope! not in there. maybe you get a different list than i do, for being such a special person at apple tech support. bobgo2627
Well I found the site, on Apple of all places. I was searching for the printer drivers just to install them and I found that they were supposed to be installed by OS X by default. Don't have the site anymore. I got it to work though.
