Besttechie
Hey Marty,Alright, let's see. First off, you don't install the recovery console perse, it's something you can get to by booting to your Windows Disk. Can you answer some of these questions? 1. What OS are you running? What service pack? (if any)2. What Windows OS Disk are you booting to?3. What are you trying to do from the recovery console?4. What is the exact message you get? Also, what command are you typing into the recovery console?Post back with the answers to those questions, that way it'll be easier to help you. B

Chappy
Hi MartyYou can also create your own slipstreamed SP2 CD, and eliminate the need to d'load SP2 updates ever again, and take care of this prob too.Its made with the exact same file you d'loaded for this already, so you'll be halfway there right away.Slipstream SP2I'm going to write a "dumbed-down" version of this procedure for our Tutorials section soon, for our n00bies to use. You should have no prob following the link's advice tho buddy.I made a couple of slipstreamed XP SP2 CD's already, and I'm so glad I did, it saves tons of time if I reinstall and its also better for when SFC is needed.Thats a great article there ahulett!Looks like it should work great for short term, I'm gonna get Marty to make an SP2 CD still if it kills me, for his long-term needs.
