I have a P5AD2-E Premium motherboard I was wondering if the optical port was able to do optical out and in.

It seems the the optical port is only for output usage on the MB. It makes mention of the stereo surround sound...and most receiver units only support input from an optical source.

From the description, it sounds like it's only capable of doing 'out'.

Then I want to find a PCI card that can do Optical in and S-Video in.

I tryed to look for a card that could do so but I couldnt find one.

For optical in, the only thing i know that does it, is the creative, have a look at http://www.creative.com/products/welcome.asp?category=1

svideo in, try http://www.hauppauge.com/

i doubt you will get both functions on one card. Good luck.
