kalamitsiotis Posted August 25, 2005 Report Share Posted August 25, 2005 Bought a gforce 5700 VE / 256 DDR Installed it and everything seemed to work fine, started to play world of warcraft and the comp goes blank. Lights are still on, but monitor dead and fans dead. NOthing moving. I had to physically unplug power cord and plug back in, in order to restart. I double checked box for minimum requirements and I fit into them all. The only thing I might see as a concern is my power supply is 240v and Card requires 250. You COULD be overheating and your mobo automatically shuts off before it gets too dangerous. But from your symptoms it seems unlikely. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
MattOrr Posted August 26, 2005 Report Share Posted August 26, 2005 Alright the psu is probly the reason... i got a 500W on a 6600gt and i have 2x120mm and 1 90mm and 2 hdd so yeah its probly the psu heat wouldn`t be a problem if this was not happening before (A 500w for 50-70 should fix it) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
