Matt
Hey everyone! Here are some things our new members would like to know. PLease note, I am not an authortative figure here, so please don't take this information as law.If you have never used these types of forums before, there are some differences. Once thing you will notice, I'm sure, is that the tags for embedding extras into your posts are different than those of JeePhor. Play around with those, I had trouble with them at first when I came here.Another thing you will see, is that BT has subforums. I don't think G4 had these. For example, if you click on the 'Windows Support' forum, you will notice at the top, above the threads is a subforum titled 'Windows tips and tricks'. Just thought Id let you know about those One more thing. If you look at the bottom of the front page, you will see a user key. If you have noticed, some members have different colored usernames. That key will explain the color codes to you.Well, that's all I can think of for now.. um.. we also have and file uploading tool you can use.. anyone else, feel free to add some stuff Matt

Bubba Bob
I want to add something.Unlike G4, most people here have some sence. Most people here use correct grammar, DONT spam, DONT try to increase their post count by posting useless crap, and DONT act like ignorant little kids.Remember, just because your parents dont want to raise you, doesnt mean we want to either. blim
No nonsense? Do I have to go home now? Shoot, what if I behave? Anyways, to the new members, WELCOME, and if you have any questions about how BTs works, like adding color, changing time, making links, etc, JUST ASK!! You won't get flamed here--I didn't. And everyone here knows I ask a LOT of dumb questions Liz

If you don't have a chat client, on the besttechie home page (http://www.besttechie.net) you will find a link to the chat on the left.Happy posting all Matt
Matt
Just one more thing Ive noticed (god Im starting to sound like I work here, lol) the comments and suggestions forum is really for posting comments or suggestion on how to improve the forum.. like layout suggestions or specific requests or reporting a forum error. Not a big deal, im sure a mod or admin will move threads if need be.Matt
Fiddytree85
A chat room? Well, when I am in need of entertainment, and not ripping DVD's (like now), I'll hop on.
TheTerrorist_75
It's quiet in chat right now. I'm getting ready to crash.

Where do you post if you have a question that is specific to the usage of the forum, like if you don't know how to do something, say like setting the correct time in your zone? My biggest dilemma is always wondering just where to post my "usually weird questions". Thank goodness for the folks who have the power to move them to the correct places!*and you do work here, you've been a wealth of information. Thank you!!*Liz
