Question About The External Data Bus...

Hi name9902, and Welcome to BestTechie!

The EDB (external data bus) is a term for the data bus that connects your computer with any peripheral devices. This bus includes things like the USB bus, the IEEE1394 (firewire) bus and the Frontside bus.

The Internal Data Bus is strictly contained within the CPU circuitry itself, moving data thru the chip's internal caches.
