Gerry
Good dayI have been exp. problems with the downloading of stuff from theInternet, such as e-books, programs, etc.A download would start in the normal fashion but would simply stopafter a while, even if it has only completed say, only 3% or 5% of thedownload, and then show that it has completed 100%. When I thentry to open the set-up file it would say that the file is corrupt. Please tell me what the reason for this problem could be and adviseme on how to solve it.I use Outpost 1.0 Firewall, but I doubt if it is a Firewall problem.Thanks.Gerry
MrBill
What Browser are you using to download with? If IE, go to Tools/Delete Browsing History and at the bottom, DELETE everything and put a check in the next window that Pops Up. Then click OK and let it finish. Then go to Start/All Programs/Accessories/Disc Cleanup and put a check in ALL the boxes then let it do it's thing. Then try the download again.

MrBill
In FF, go to Tools and Clear private data. Then boot into Safe Mode (usually tapping the F2 Key constantly as the PC is booting) and from the menu choose Safe Mode. Then do what I said above about deleting everything and then run a Disc Defrag. Then boot into regular mode and see what happens.
