Matt Posted January 21, 2009 Report Share Posted January 21, 2009 So yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to mess with some of my partitions, and move some around. Namely, I moved my vista partition and it didn't really appreciate that. At first it wouldn't boot, but I popped in my disk and selected "Repair my computer." This made Vista bootable, and I was able to log in under my name. However, my personal profile could bot be loaded, and I had to manually start explorer.exe. I can't open any files, it just tells me they don't exist (even if I click directly on them). The same goes for running any application, such as IE. I was hoping to do a repair install, but in Vista that has to be done once logged in--but I can't get the cd to run. Even if I navigate to my CD in the drive, and click setup.exe, I'm told it doesn't exist. My C:\ drive has also been changed to V:\.I would really like to avoid killing it, but it looks like that's where I'm headed.Thanks guys,Mattedit: I did a quick google search on the issue and found "Turns out the reason it was all broken was because the drive letters were in fact switched up.
