Finaror
On 8/19/2019 at 8:03 PM, Xima said: Although computer drivers ought to get checked and updated automatically through Windows updates, often they get out of date. Especially when users turn off the updates, which is a quite popular practice. Guys please advise good driver updater tools. I would be very grateful for your help. Try driver booster. Take the free version. My laptop (Windows 10) constantly showed me notifications about error on the local drive C. He constantly tried to perform the check, but it all these tries ended in an error and a reboot. It turned out that I have a lot of outdated drivers. I have never paid attention to this before. I was sure that Windows monitors their state and updates it if necessary. On one of the sites I chose this program because it had a lot of stars rating. It was the right decision, because it founded and installed missing drivers and the system no longer offers to perform a disk check. I also downloaded other programs for PC optimization. Thanks to the developers of the program. Edited August 21, 2019 by Finaror
flashh4
Driver update tools don't distinguish between a genuine update and merely a 'version' update that supports later hardware that you don't have. There are different sections for different hardware all in the one driver in many cases. The section for your older hardware never actually changes. After say a year drivers are not updated, they should function correctly. Why download something you don't need, it's just using space on your hard drive !! I have never used one just get them from the manufacture or through Windows ! ! My Laptop & Desk model manufacturers updates now come via Windows updates !! tanusaha
Lately I have been facing a lot of issues with my Windows PC, every time I try to run a system update an error message 80070057 pops up. Is it related to outdated device drivers? Can you suggest an efficient and best driver updater tool that I can pick to fix this issue.
flashh4
Howdy tanusaha and welcome to the forum, we hope you enjoy your stay & contribute to our site ! Now the error message "80070057" can appear at different times, but it usually shows up during an "update" of W10 ! Can you give me more info on when it shows up & what you have tried to fix this ?? Thanks Chuck
tanusaha
When you try to install an update on Windows 10, on the disk partition page, the 0x80070057 error appears. This simply means that Windows could not format the partition on the disk. The error occurred while preparing the selected partition for installation. Therefore, you should make sure to update outdated drivers to automatically resolve the problem.
flashh4
tanausaha, it is not only showing up for updates but also when you're attempting to install a new application or also possible for it to appear when you upgrade to Windows 10 from an older version of Windows, like Windows 7 or 8.1 ! So you should investigate the error further ! Chuck
