Gerry
Hi Folks! After I have upgraded to Opera 9.51 I receive the following warning:The system library Msimg32.dll is missing or too old, so certain transparency effects will be slow and possibly not drawncorrectly.Obtaining the library from a Windows ME installation and placingit in your windows system directory will fix this.I will appreciate it if someone could advise me on the exact stepsto follow to rectify this problem.Thanks.Gerry
bobbynichols
I ran into this problem recently as well...it is disacussed here.Be forewarned that the new Opera does not act completely nice with Win98SE always (which is what I usually use it on)... In fact I rolled back to Opera 9.50 to help with system reliability. I still have to sometime completely reboot when Opera 9.50 has issues with memory/graphics /or I don't know what after a length of time. I'm actually going to continue to try to roll back to Opera version 9.27 when I can figure out how to do that (the settings somewhere prohit this due to the new mail upgrade??). Opera 9.27 was the last version that I had absolutely no problem with.resolved: after checking with opera.com's forums (what an imbroglio a'brewing!) I found that I could unistall Opera 9.50 and then rename the remnants (in my case the folders 'mail' and 'profile' and the 'operdef6.ini') and then install Opera 9.27 successfully... yay!... guess I'll wait for v. 9.6x to upgradeAll that being said I still preferred a buggy Opera over IE and FireFox on my dated under powered system.Good luck ! TheTerrorist_75
Opera 9.27 is the most stable for Win9x/ME. There are several bugs with 9.51 on any OS.
Gerry
Thanks GuysI actually upgraded from 9.26 to 9.51. I see that 9.52 is now available. However, I think I will take your advice and rather try 9.27. Problem is,from where can I download this? Filehippo does list this (with all previousversions) but I don't see a download link. Same with opera.com. Any advice? Thanks!
